In the department of Oise, northern France, lies the town of Compiegne. It's majestic houses, and chateaux with great architecture. Visited frequently by royalty.. Louis XIV, Louis XV, Charles V, and prized for its vast hunting grounds and woodsof over 14,400 hectares.
The breathtaking Château de Pierrefonds built originally in the 1100s is a typical style Cinderella fairytale castle, and has appeared in many films such as 'the man in the iron mask'.
