This 'Spanish' version of Cecilia in Gitana attire was aptly named Sara.
As Russell Flint enjoyed living around the south of France and being involved in the gypsy culture that he created this piece the Patroness of all Gypsies - Sara the Egyptian.

Sadly, the servant girl Sara was never canonized on the arrival to the Provence as appose to Mary Magdalene and her six followers. But that has not stopped the Romanies
gathering on the 24th of May each year to pay tribute to Sara their saint at Les Saintes.
