Gypsies and goats
A light fresh watercolour, possibly on the banks of the river Loire or Ardeche.
Goats would tend to be kept on a rocky mountainous terrain , as they eat most things, and vegetation.!
So for that reason, I would guess further south, maybe the Ardeche, even perhaps moving as far south as Montpellier or close to the Pont du Gard?
The girls appear to be studies of Cecilia, relaxing, and working in the summer heat.

Should you wish to explore the area in France that Sir William spent so much of his time this holiday house in the Dordogne see here can provide
a beautiful experience for those who enjoy the countryside and the many towns and villages of great character.
